(CNN) - A freak storm in northern Greece killed six tourists and left more than 30 others injured on Wednesday. An elderly Czech couple were killed when their caravan was blown over, and two Russians and two Romanians also died, according to CNN affiliate CNN Greece. Family travel blogger Emily Kishtoo was at a beach party when the storm struck and the power cut out. Temperatures hit 37 degrees Celsius in the area on Monday, but dropped to 19 degrees Celsius early Thursday. The mercury reached 45.9 degrees Celsius (114.6 Fahrenheit) in Gallargues-le-Montueux in the Gard department in southern France, according to the French national weather service Mto-France.
