Trial begins for former Virginia Tech football player accused of murdering Blacksburg man

Wednesday marked day one of the trial against a former Virginia Tech football player, Isimemen Etute. He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 40-year-old Jerry Smith on May 31, 2021.
