Pleasant Monday before some rain/cool-down Tuesday - CM 🤓
Thanks to a front that passed through Sunday, the air is feeling much more comfortable. Expect a mostly sunny sky and temperatures ranging from the upper 70s/lower 80s in the higher elevations to middle 80s in Roanoke to mid to upper 80s in
Lynchburg/Southside. Overnight lows fall into the low to mid 60s with clouds increasing.
TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
An area of low pressure rides up our stalled front. At the same time, a weak area of high pressure to the north keeps things unseasonably cool. We'll see periods of rain Tuesday with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Talk about an early October kind of feel.
Wednesday will be mostly dry with most of the rain missing us to the east. Still, expect temperatures only in the mid to upper 70s during the day, after starting in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Another disturbances rides the front, giving us a better chance of rain Thursday with highs in the 70s.
FRIDAY - WEEKEND
As this front washes out, we'll no longer be much cooler than average. A southwest wind will keep us warmer and humid with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lows in the mid to upper 60s. Your typical hit-or-miss showers and storms are expected.
