Former Virginia player Singletary arrested on DUI charge
CHARLOTTESVILLE (AP) - Former University of Virginia basketball player Sean Singletary has been charged in Charlottesville with driving under the influence and refusing a breath test.
Charlottesville Police Lt. Steve Upman said Monday Singletary was arrested early Sunday after police observed him driving erratically.
Upman did not know if Singletary has an attorney.
Singletary scored more than 2,000 points for U.Va. and had his number 44 retired by the university in 2009. He also played in the NBA and in Europe.
