One person at Central Elementary School tests positive for COVID-19

AMHERST, Va. – A person at Central Elementary School has been diagnosed with coronavirus, according to Amherst County Public Schools.
Officials say the school will remain open at this time and anyone identified as having been potentially exposed to the virus will be contacted by the health department or the school division.
The announcement sent on Friday did not disclose if the person is a staff member or student.
