ROANOKE, Va. – A winter celebration of arts and culture is coming to the Star City this weekend. The Taubman Museum of Art is hosting the second annual Roanoke Arts Pop.
Over 30 arts and culture organizations will be participating and offering pop-up performances, talks, demos, and interactive activities. Some of the organizations include Southwest Virginia Ballet, Local Colors and Virginia Children’s Theatre.
Cindy Petersen, the Executive Director of the Taubman Museum said she is excited to bring an event like this to Roanoke and she hopes everyone takes the opportunity to explore.
“It brings everyone together. So if you are familiar with one, you can come back to see and experience it. But if there is something new, you can see that. It is an awareness of being able to do a deep dive into new organizations,” said Petersen.
Every performance and demo during this three-day festival is free to the public.
Roanoke Arts Pop will be taking place March 4-6.
