ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE 4:45 a.m.
A vehicle fire that led to delays has been cleared, according to VDOT.

UPDATE 8:00 p.m.:
The vehicle fire is still causing delays in Roanoke County, according to VDOT.
As of a VDOT update at 7:30 p.m., the south right lane and right shoulder are closed.
VDOT said traffic backups are approximately five miles, and traffic is southbound traffic is being diverted off of the 137 exit ramp.

A vehicle fire has shut down all I-81 South lanes in Roanoke County, according to VDOT.
Authorities said the incident is at mile marker 135.
As of 6 p.m., traffic is backed up significantly.
