  • Faxing
  • Copying
  • Use of public meeting rooms

With the change, the library hopes to improve access and encourage more user-friendly services.

In addition, patrons will still be required to pay late fines for two-week loan “new books,” inter-library loan materials and specialty items, which include the telescope and nature backpacks.

The Lynchburg Public Library will also be celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month throughout September with a raffle.

Those who either update their current Lynchburg Public Library card or get a new one can enter a raffle for a new Kindle Fire. One winner will be chosen from the three categories: Children, teens and adults.

You can enter the raffle from Sept. 1 through Sept. 30 at both the Main Library and the Downtown Branch locations.

Winners will be announced on Monday, Oct. 3.
