Man arrested following robbery at Lynchburg restaurant

LYNCHBURG, Va. – A man was arrested on Thursday following an armed robbery at a restaurant in Lynchburg, Lynchburg Police Department said.

LPD said they responded to an armed robbery around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday at a restaurant located on the 6100 block of Fort Avenue. They were told the suspect was a customer who returned later and demanded money at gunpoint.

Authorities said following a quick investigation, they identified 38-year-old Frederick Miller as the suspect. They found him at his home on the 1100 block of Lindsay Street. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with the following:

  • Firearm Possession by a Felon
  • Firearm Use in Commission of a Felony
  • Robbery Using a Firearm

LPD has not stated the amount of money stolen as a result of the robbery. We will update you with more information as it becomes available.
