APPOMATTOX CO., Va. – A 16-year-old has been arrested after they allegedly made threats on the social media app TikTok, according to the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in reference to the threat that was made on social media. After an investigation, it was uncovered that the teen had made a threat to “End the lives of many students” during a school day.
After working in conjunction with Appomattox County Public Schools to ensure safety of the students investigators were able to identify the suspect and charge them with the following:
Felony: Sending threats of death or bodily injury to a person
They are currently being held in the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Center until they can be seen by a judge.
