Pulaski County schools enhance safety with weapon detection systems

No description found

PULASKI COUNTY, Va. – Pulaski County Public Schools have taken a significant step toward enhancing safety by installing weapon detection systems in both the middle and high schools. This initiative comes in response to multiple lockdowns over the past couple of years and social media threats that have even led to school cancellations. Just this past fall, two days were canceled due to online threats.

As the first week of implementation unfolds, it has been a learning process for everyone involved. However, school leaders said the students have embraced the new safety measures.
