HENRY CO., Va. – A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday after a narcotics operation in Henry County Wednesday, officials say.
According to officials, The HCSO executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence located in the 200 block of Penrose Drive in Bassett.

When deputies arrived to serve the warrant, they encountered a man at the front door and a woman was later discovered hiding beneath a trap door under the bathroom sink. Both the man and the woman were taken into custody.
Investigators also determined that both of the individuals had previously outstanding warrants for their arrest. In addition, a search of the residence resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine along with stolen firearms. Digital scales, ammunition and a ledger containing names were also located.

34-year-old James Joshua Rumley
• Violation of Virginia Code Section: 18.2-248 – Distribution of Schedule I/II Drugs
• (3 Counts)
• Violation of Virginia Code Section: 18.2-248 – Possession with the intent to Distribution of Schedule I/II Drugs
• Violation of Virginia Code Section: 18.2-308.4 – Possess Schedule I/II Drug While Possessing a firearm
• Violation of Virginia Code Section: 18.2-108.1 – Possession of a Stolen Firearm
45-year-old Elizabeth Lynn Robertson
• Violation of Virginia Code Section: 19.2-306 – Probation Violation
More charges are pending against both individuals as the investigation continues.
