LYNCHBURG, Va. – Update:
The Lynchburg Police Department provided an update on the shooting investigation Wednesday night.
According to LPD, the shooting incident occurred in the 1500 block of Greenfield Drive. Shortly after 7 p.m. officers responded to the report of a gunshot victim arriving at Lynchburg General Hospital.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the incident occurred at the Greenfield Market and that two individuals were being treated for gunshot wounds related to the incident.
LPD said at this time details remain limited and the condition of the victims is unknown.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation as officers continue to gather information.
