Two people were taken to the hospital after an SUV crashed into a building on East Lynchburg Salem Turnpike late Wednesday night.
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 11 p.m. and found the SUV had slammed into the building, causing significant damage and drawing a large response from authorities across the region.

Both people injured in the crash were transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.
Virginia State Police is investigating the incident.
