A suspect has been taken into custody following this incident, Wythe County Sheriff’s Office said.

Law enforcement is currently responding to a barricade incident in Wythe County, Wythe County Sheriff’s Office said.
WCSO said around 5:06 p.m. on Monday that they are “working an active barricaded subject on East Lee Highway near Exit 80.”
As a result, the roadway is currently closed.
