Salem kids start Halloween early with Main Street Trick-or-Treating

On Saturday morning, kids were going up and down Main Street, visiting various local businesses to kick off Halloween. Local shops had a pumpkin sticker in their window to show their participation in the event,

The City of Salem says at least 13 businesses handed out candy. Owners say it’s a good way to get involved with the community and see some smiling faces.

“We want to serve our community here in Salem and it’s a great opportunity to get to know everyone and a good safe adventure for the kids too.”

Cherie Keller, real estate agent
