Two Black men who were fired by President Donald Trump from the National Transportation Safety Board and the U.S. Surface Transportation Board accused the administration Thursday of discriminating against them as part of a pattern of dismissing Black leaders.

The White House says the vice chair of the National Transportation Safety Board has been removed from his position, a rare move that comes as the agency investigates more than 1,000 cases.

LYNCHBURG, Va. Police arrested a wanted Lynchburg man Wednesday after he led them on a chase. When the officer tried to pull Brown over, he sped away from the officer and drove down U.S. 29, eventually stopping near Bransford and Tyree Streets, according to Lynchburg police. Brown got out of his vehicle and tried to run away before officers arrested him, according to Lynchburg police.
