Flash floods swept through parts of Southwest Virginia on Thursday, soaking communities from Radford to Botetourt County and leaving behind a mess city crews are still cleaning up.

The goal is to try and store 1.7 million metric tons of carbon dioxide each year for the next three decades, the equivalent taking more than 360,000 passenger cars off the road annually

The Botetourt County Fair returned to Buchanan this weekend.

Volunteers at a local fire department are hanging up their gear, and it’s a part of a nationwide trend.

Hundreds of new homes could be coming to Botetourt County.
