Nonprofits are increasingly using storytelling to connect with donors.

Brilliant Detroit, the early childhood education nonprofit that supports children in underserved communities “from belly to 8,” plans to expand its unique neighborhood-based holistic model beyond The Motor City.

The winners of this year’s Elevate Prize include social entrepreneurs who help Detroit children prepare for school, build technology labs in rural Kenya, and improve road safety in India.
