Mosley joins a growing list of players who are choosing to not play this season if there is a season amid concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. The Jets also have veteran Avery Williamson returning from a torn ACL that sidelined him for all of last season. But Mosley's decision to opt out will likely mean Williamson will remain on the roster and likely take over as the signal-calling quarterback on defense.

Atlanta placed rookie safety Jaylinn Hawkins on the teams reserve/COVID-19 list hours after coach Dan Quinn said all rookies had negative tests. Hawkins, a fourth-round pick from Cal, could have tested negative and placed on the list after exposure to the coronavirus.
