Olivia LaMotte, the founder of Habitat-Roanoke Valley, passed away on Friday after a long battle with kidney infection and developing dementia, Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley said.

Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley dedicated two of its homes to Blue Ridge Independent Living Center in an effort to make homes affordable and accessible for people with disabilities.
