Defending champion Novak Djokovic has reached the third round of the U.S. Open after his opponent had to stop in the third set of their match with an injury.

Novak Djokovic has eliminated qualifier Borna Gojo 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 to reach the U.S. Open quarterfinals.

Novak Djokovic has come all the way back from a two-set deficit to beat Laslo Djere 4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 in the third round of the U.S. Open to avoid what would have been his earliest exit there since 2006.
