Incumbent Commonwealth Attorney Bethany Harrison secured her third term Tuesday night, winning re-election with more than 75% of the votes.

The race for Lynchburg’s commonwealth attorney is drawing extra attention. Both candidates have deep roots in the community’s justice system and a history that once put them on opposite sides of the courtroom.
