Presidents Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice Completes Teleconferences on Reentry and Grant Programs
This week, the Presidents Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice completed its hearings on reentry, with panels on getting back to work and transitioning from institution to community. The Commission also hosted a hearing on grant programs, featuring perspectives from the field. Each teleconference featured expert witnesses who provided testimony and, subsequently, answered questions from the Commissioners. Assistant Director Brinkman testified that the grant process can be time consuming and arduous for many applicants. Sheriff Louderback also stressed the need to simplify the grant process.
