A Troutville weigh station along I-81 is closed for truck driver parking overnight. According to a DMV spokesperson, they’ve had to stop allowing parking in the lot due to an increase in trash.
The Bedford Fire Department said the crash happened around 10:47 a.m. on Tuesday and involved an ambulance and a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Route 460 and Woodhaven Drive.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – The crash has since been cleared. Drivers heading north on Interstate 81 should expect delays due to a crash on Friday afternoon. As of 3:09 p.m., a tractor-trailer crash in the northbound lanes at mile marker 121.9 is causing backups of 3.5 miles, according to VDOT. The northbound right shoulder is closed.
