(WSLS 10 Sports) - The 4A Girls State Championship this morning featured the William Fleming Lady Colonels who were looking for their first ever state championship while the Monocan Chiefs were looking for their third consecutive state title. William Fleming tries to keep things close but Monocan took a 40 point lead at one point. Monocan won the 4A Girls State Championship 93 - 56. William Fleming Coach Champ Hubbard had to say this after the game, "I think that my girls fought all the way through. Monocan set a VHSL record with the most points scored in a championship game.
