A cyberattack has caused chaos for students at thousands of schools as they study for finals.

Virginia Tech and Liberty University both released statements Thursday regarding a recent Canvas outage that is affecting multiple universities.

Alleghany Highlands Public Schools announced Monday that Alleghany High School will be closed due to a water line issue at the school. AHPS said that students will participate in virtual learning from home and that students should check their email and Canvas activities for scheduled for the day.
