ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke City Police say the suspect in a Thursday morning bank robbery is in custody.
It happened at 9:39 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the HomeTrust Bank located at 2820 Brambleton Avenue.

According to Scott Leamon with Roanoke City Police,
Peter John Bell, age 54, of Roanoke walked in to the bank and made a threat of a weapon, but did not show it. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the person ran out of the bank and jumped into a silver vehicle.
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing. Bell is being charged with robbery.
