WASHINGTON (AP) - Radio host Joe Madison is trying to break the world record for the longest hosting of a radio talk this week and is raising money to build the Smithsonian's new National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Madison will begin hosting his marathon broadcast Wednesday at 6 a.m. on SiriusXM's Urban View channel 126. He will broadcast live for 52 hours in Washington until Friday at 10 a.m. to break the Guinness World Record for a radio talk show.

At the same time, Madison is raising money for the ongoing construction of the newest Smithsonian museum that will be devoted to black history on the National Mall.
Madison's guests will include Aretha Franklin, actor Danny Glover, sports journalist Stephen A. Smith, comedian Wayne Brady and soul singer Bettye Lavette.
