Jerry Hodges' siblings speak out on newly released details

FRANKLIN COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The family of a Franklin County man who was found dead earlier this year is continuing to cope after learning new details involving the investigation.

Police say Jerry Hodges' body was wrapped in plastic and put inside a closet-type container in his daughter's basement.

Jessica Hodges Turner and her husband Benjamin Allen Turner are facing multiple charges involving his death. Jerry's sister Brenda Arrington says she's still coping with the news.

"It's really shocking something like that can happen," says Arrington. "Because it didn't have to happen."

His siblings are honoring Jerry's life by remembering him during better times.

"No matter what you did for him he always thanked you and says I love y'all," says Marie Hodges, Jerry's sister. "It's just so sad."

The family says it's been tough since they're learning more disturbing details about the case frequently.

Recently unsealed search warrants stated Jessica Turner used money from her father's accounts to pay her car insurance and household expenses.

"Jerry loved his little Jessica he called her little bit," says Marie. "It just breaks my heart."
