AMHERST COUNTY (WSLS) - Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Amherst County. Police said it happened Sunday afternoon just before 3 p.m. on route 130.
According to officials, a motorcycle driver lost control and slid underneath a Chevrolet Suburban going in the opposite direction. Authorities said the driver of the motorcycle, 43-year-old David Zegarelli of Forest died at the scene. The driver of the SUV, a 55-year-old man from Burlington, North Carolina, was not hurt.
