Ben Early with B Early Cabs usually checks up on his drivers to make sure they're safe during their shifts. However he's now extra cautious after what happened.

Meanwhile Early used to work with the driver who is now recovering and says it's a concern.

"I used to work with him when I used to work at Yellow Cab," says Early. "He's a good driver. Very experienced. Nobody is immune."

Early sits down with all of his new drivers and gives them tips like don't carry more than $50 in cash and ask for specific addresses where to pick up or drop someone off.

In addition other cab companies like City Cab say they're asking all their drivers to check in periodically in light of what happened this morning.
