ROANOKE (WSLS 10) – Roanoke Fire-EMS said the man who died in a house fire in the 1100 block of Stewart Avenue has been identified as Donnie J. Lawhorn. He was 77-years-old.
Lawhorn's cause of death was determined to be smoke inhalation.

There will be a candlelight vigil in Lawhorn's honor at 5:30 p.m. Friday in front of the home at 1102 Stewart Ave.
Roanoke Fire-EMS officials said an indoor propane heater was to blame for the fire Thanksgiving Eve. It happened Wednesday night in the 1100 block of Stewart Avenue.
Two other people were injured. Roanoke Fire-EMS said three adults and three children are out of their home. The American Red Cross is assisting.
