Halifax man pulls rifle during altercation at Danville Community College

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - A Danville man was arrested, accused of pulling a rifle on two people at Danville Community College November 30.

Danville police said officers went to the college after a reported dispute. When they arrived, a 29-year-old man and 19-year-old woman, both from Pittsylvania County, said they were in a verbal altercation with a man driving a truck.

The two told officers that driver pulled rifle from inside the truck, then drove away. No one was hurt in the incident.

Officers later arrested 33-year-old Phillip B. Conner, from Halifax, on Danville warrants. Conner faces two counts of brandishing a firearm.

Conner was given a preliminary court date and released on his signature.
