Driver charged in crash at bus stop; six people hurt

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Police have charged a driver involved in a collision that injured six people at a suburban Richmond bus stop.

Henrico County Police Lt. Chris Eley says Iman Robinson is charged with reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle while having a suspended license.

Eley says in a news release that a car driven by Robinson hit an SUV while crossing an intersection. The SUV ran off the side of the road and hit a bus stop shelter and bench.

Five adults and three children were waiting at the bus stop when the accident occurred on Monday. Eley says one child suffered life threatening injuries and another child and four adults suffered minor injuries. The victims were taken to VCU Medical Center.
