BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS10) - One man is dead and another injured after an ATV crash in Bedford County on Thursday night.
The crash happened on Hawkins Mill Road at 9:30 p.m. when a 2014 side-by-side ATV was going east on Hawkins Mill Road, ran off the right side of the road, lost control, crossed the road and hit the trees, according to state police.

Forty-one-year-old Christopher Todd Dixon, of Lynchburg, the driver of the ATV, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. His passenger, Robert Gilroy Shelton III, was injured and taken to a Lynchburg hospital.
The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
