CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) -Kroger has begun an expansion of its Christiansburg store. It is a $12 million investment that will result in creating approximately 100 new jobs.
The store will be expanding from 46,000 square feet to 82,000 square feet, creating space for a larger selection of prepared foods, a Starbuck's Coffee Shop, Murray's Cheese Shoppe, drive through Pharmacy, and a Sushi Bar.

In addition, the store will have expanded Meat/Seafood, Deli-Bakery, Natural/Organic foods, Dairy and Wine sections as well as a new larger Floral shop.
Manager Eric Williams says the expansion will not only include additional selections of products
"Our customers will love the changes that we are making," said Eric Williams, manager. "Everything will be brand new with new décor, lighting, flooring and paint." The project is scheduled to be completed in about one year
The Christiansburg Kroger opened in 2000 when it was relocated from the Main Street location.
