MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - After a months-long meth investigation, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has or will be obtaining 214 felony charges against 22 people, 18 of whom have been arrested, according to the sheriff's office.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Christiansburg Police Department VICE unit, the Montgomery County Commonwealth Attorney's Office, and U.S. Marshal's Service have conducted extensive operations and investigations into the use, manufacture, and distribution of methamphetamine.
From September 15 through December 5, 2016, the sheriff's office targeted meth related offenses.
On Monday, December 5, the sheriff's office with the help from the Christiansburg Police Department VICE unit and the U.S. Marshal's Service arrested 10 people on 84 felony warrants.
During the months-long investigation, the sheriff's office located 10 methamphetamine lab sites, conducted four search warrants, and identified 22 people involved with the use, manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine.
As a result of these investigations, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has or will be obtaining 214 felony charges from these investigations. The charges found during these investigations included:
- Four counts of breaking and entering
- Nine counts of grand larceny
- One count of destruction of property
- Thirty-five counts of manufacturing methamphetamine
- Five counts of possession of methamphetamine
- Sixty-seven counts of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine
- Fifty counts of accessory before the fact to the manufacture methamphetamine
- Thirty-three counts of possession of methamphetamine precursors
- Six counts of firearms related charges
- Four counts of manufacturing methamphetamine with a child present

11. Craig Steven Dowdy, 46, of Pilot
12. Christopher Robert Bibb, 36, of Shawsville
13. Amanda Jo Brammer, 25, of New Castle
14. Jason Lee Brammer, 36, of Elliston
15. Ashely Poff Lester, 30, of Pilot
16. Stephen Neil Haynes, 40, of Pilot
17. Ralph Sergio Castrello, 52, of Christiansburg
18. Laura Gay Castrello, 41, of Christiansburg
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has pending charges on four additional individuals that will be charged as a result of this targeted enforcement.
