ROANOKE, Va. – There's a new piece of art in Elmwood Park.
A hand is now on display in the downtown Roanoke venue.
The 300-pound piece is made of foam, steel and concrete.
It's the second of nine sculptures going up on the Elmwood Park Art Walk.
Sculptor Jim Respess, the Charlottesville artist behind the piece, said the sculpture shows ambiguity.
"What I hope viewers come out of it with is something that, when they're going to bed at night, they kind of go, you know, that was interesting," said Respess.
You can vote on your favorite piece during this year's festival in the park
The artist will win a People's Choice Award.
