18-year-old killed in Route 58 wreck in Henry County

Austin Fain was not wearing a seat belt, according to state police


HENRY COUNTY, Va. – State police say an 18-year-old Patrick County man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck Friday morning. 

It happened around 7:45 a.m. on Route 58 near Route 692 in Henry County. 

State police say Stuart resident Austin Lawrence Fain was driving a 2001 Mazda Protégé when he ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree. 

Fain was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, according to state police. 

State police say speed was a factor.
