CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – A New River Valley staple is shutting its doors two days earlier than what was originally planned.
Amelia’s Pizzeria in Christiansburg announced earlier this week that its last day would be on Saturday, May 7 . But after unexpectedly running out of necessary ingredients, the restaurant is now officially closed, with Thursday being its final day in business.

The beloved restaurant, known for its delicious Italian dishes, has served the community for nearly 17 years. Now, its owners Buddy and Amelia Martin are closing Amelia’s to focus on family.
On Friday, the pair took to Facebook to express their gratitude for the outpouring of community support this week.
