Centra announces biggest improvement plan yet

The projects are set to be completed by 2027

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Centra Health announced the launch of its biggest improvement plan yet Tuesday.

The multi-year, $500 million investment is addressing community needs based on the findings of the 2021 Community Health Needs Assessment.

The first phase will revitalize and expand the Lynchburg campus.

They are also working to expand home-based services, as well as increase parking and replacing the emergency department.

“I’m excited to be able to go out and share all of this information with our team so that we can inspire them with hope, and they in turn inspire our community through their care,” said Amy Carrier, president and CEO of Centra. “It’s a really big day for the Centra team.”

All projects are expected to be completed by Fall 2027.
