CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team will face the Iowa Hawkeyes for the Charlotte Sports Foundation’s Ally Tipoff at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on Nov. 9.

The event will be available on ESPN, with specific details to be released at a later date.

“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Ally Tipoff playing against the University of Iowa,” Virginia Tech Head Coach Kenny Brooks said. “This game will feature high-level talent that will showcase two teams that experienced the Final Four last year. This premier matchup will be great not only for our prestigious conferences but will be a great display for women’s basketball.”

The Hokies and Hawkeyes have met three times previously, and last faced off in 2011 in Iowa City. Both teams are conference champions and made appearances in the Final Four in the 2023 Women’s NCAA Championship.

Tickets will be available for sale later this summer, and fans can sign up for more information and presale opportunities here.
