Carilion Police find 6-week-old kitten in paper bag in dumpster

ROANOKE, Va. – Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital staff came to a kitten’s rescue on Monday morning.
We’re told a worker heard a concerning sound coming from the dumpster and called Carilion Police to investigate.

When the officer got to the area and checked the dumpster, he found a paper Kroger bag with a six-week-old kitten inside, according to Angels of Assisi.
Shelter staff said the kitten is named Toby.
Now that Toby has received vet care, he’s living in a loving foster home until he’s old enough to go up for adoption.
