36-year-old Covington man arrested on charges of child solicitation

COVINGTON, Va. – A 36-year-old Covington man has been taken into custody in connection with certain offenses against minors, according to the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office.

On Oct. 19, the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office and the Covington Division of Police arrested 36-year-old Jared W. Wolfe.

We’re told he has been charged with two counts of use of communication systems to facilitate certain offenses against minors, or child solicitation, and the possession of a schedule I/II substance.

According to authorities, Wolfe is currently being held at Alleghany Regional Jail without bond.

The sheriff’s office did not provide any further details, but we will continue to update this article as we learn more.
