Vehicle crash on I-81S in Roanoke County cleared

This crash has been cleared, according to VDOT.

If you’re driving along Interstate 81 southbound in Roanoke County, a vehicle crash could slow down your morning commute.

According to VDOT, a crash at the 138.5 mile marker has led to a 3-mile traffic backup.

As of 8:37 a.m., the south right lane and right shoulder are closed.

No word yet on any injuries.
