ROANOKE, Va. – Update:
Officials have released an update on the individual’s condition after a construction incident in southeast Roanoke on Wednesday.
Roanoke Fire and EMS said they responded to reports of a person trapped underneath a part of a boom lift in the area of Jefferson Street and Weller Lane SE at 2:58 p.m.
Crews arrived at 3:01 p.m. and began work stabilizing the equipment involved, providing patient care and extricating the patient.
At 3:27 p.m., the patient was extricated and transported in stable condition to the hospital. At 5:33 p.m,. all apparatus cleared the call and marked back in service.

According to officials, one person has been injured after a construction lift tipped over. 10 News will continue to update this story as we receive more information.

Roanoke Fire and EMS Crews are currently on the scene of an incident in the area of Jefferson Street southeast and Weller Lane southeast. Roads are blocked by fire apparatus at this time. Officials say that drivers should find alternate route if planning on traveling through the area.
