Local police are actively investigating a report of a bomb threat at Hidden Valley High School in Roanoke County, according to school officials. Authorities have ensured the safety of all students who were either on the bus or had already arrived at the school.
Those students have been moved to an off-site evacuation location as a precaution.
Student drivers should remain at home until further notice.
Parents are advised not to go to the off-site location at this time, as students cannot be released from there. Once the school has been cleared and deemed safe by police, students will be escorted back to HVHS for pickup.
The school will provide an update once the building has been cleared and is safe to reopen.
