Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a cow on Interstate 81 around lunchtime Monday, Sept. 1.
Because having a cow near the interstate is dangerous, the office responded quickly with a livestock trailer.
Sgt. Bentley said they managed to rope the cow, subdue it, and safely return it home.
He added that, as far as he knows, the cow is doing fine after its unexpected adventure.
