BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. – It was a close call for this Bedford County kitty!
A cat was saved from a trash compactor in Bedford County on Tuesday after it was reported at the Otterville site.

The county thanked crew employee Lance Rowsey for showing up to the scene and helping the cat. The cat was scared, but was rescued and uninjured.
The cat was taken to the waste management office for care.
